ACE Apex

The Garrett ACE Apex is a multi-frequency metal detector built around Garrett's Multi-Flex technology. You can hunt with a single frequency (5, 10, 15 or 20 kHz) to target specific metals and target sizes, or switch to simultaneous Multi-Frequency and Multi-Salt modes for broad coverage — ideal for coin shooting, jewelry and relic hunting, and chasing ferrous and non-ferrous metals including gold. As a rule, lower frequencies favour larger, more conductive targets such as silver coins, while higher frequencies sharpen detection of smaller, low-conductivity targets like hammered coins and gold. The Apex offers six detection modes plus pinpoint, a Digital Target ID from 0 to 99, and a hybrid audio system that delivers five distinct tones with proportional response for faint targets. It adds Iron Audio with iron-volume control, high-resolution automatic ground balance with 175 points from ferrous ground to saltwater, notch discrimination across 20 segments, eight sensitivity/depth settings and a large backlit LCD. Built-in Z-Lynk wireless audio runs up to six times faster than Bluetooth, the 6″ x 11″ DD Viper coil and stem are waterproof under a rainproof control box, and the built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery delivers up to about 15 hours per charge. It is made in the USA and backed by a 3-year Garrett warranty.
