How deep do Lorenz detectors really reach?
Depth depends on the target's size and conductivity and on the ground. With large frame coils, both the Z1 and Z2 can reach sizeable metallic targets to around 3.8 m — far beyond typical VLF detectors — while smaller coils trade depth for sensitivity and precise pinpointing. We quote depth honestly and won't promise a fixed figure for every target.
