The Garrett ACE 400i is the flagship of the ACE series, a feature-rich VLF metal detector designed to help you dig more good targets and less junk. It is recommended for coin, jewelry and relic hunting plus dry-beach and freshwater use, making it a capable choice for enthusiasts who want advanced tools without a steep learning curve. The ACE 400i runs at an adjustable 10 kHz for greater sensitivity to low- and medium-conductivity targets such as gold and lead, and the frequency can be shifted to eliminate interference. Key features include Iron Audio, a Digital Target ID from 0 to 99, enhanced iron resolution (three times that of the ACE 250), notch discrimination, electronic pinpointing, five search modes plus pinpoint and eight sensitivity/depth levels. Is the ACE 400i waterproof?
The 8.5″ x 11″ DD search coil is submersible for wet grass, shallow water and the dry beach, but the control box is not waterproof and must stay above the water line.
