The Garrett Axiom is a pulse-induction gold detector built around Ultra-Pulse technology and engineered for high sensitivity to small, low-conductivity gold — capable of responding to nuggets as small as 1 to 2 grains. Its advanced pulse timings deliver outstanding performance in extreme mineralised soils, hot rocks, black sand and saltwater, making it a serious tool for dedicated raw-gold prospectors. At just 1.9 kg and collapsing to 63.5 cm, it travels and swings easily all day. Four search modes each target a different situation: Fine for the smallest low-conductivity gold, Normal for all sizes, Large for big targets while suppressing mineralisation and hot rocks, and Salt for wet saltwater beaches and salty inland ground. TerraScan ground balancing provides an independent dual-channel system across the full mineralisation range, with manual ground balance, a Ground Track option and an Iron Check feature when a DD coil is fitted. Audio can be set to PWM or VCO, and a built-in high-capacity lithium-ion battery runs about 16 hours per charge — extendable with an optional 8-AA booster pack. It is made in the USA and backed by a 3-year manufacturer warranty.
