The Minelab Gold Monster 1000 is a fully automatic, highly sensitive VLF gold detector engineered for fast setup and effortless operation — turning newcomers into confident prospectors while still satisfying experienced users. Running at 45 kHz with high-speed 24-bit signal processing, it lifts sensitivity across a wide range of nugget sizes without excessive noise, and improved ferrous/non-ferrous discrimination helps it cope with conductive, salty soils. Operation is genuinely turn-on-and-go, with automatic ground balance, automatic noise cancel and a Gold Chance Indicator that shows the likelihood of gold versus junk at a glance. It offers two detect modes (Gold and Deep All-Metal), manual or automatic sensitivity, and six audio volume levels. The search coil is waterproof and the control box rain-proof to 1 m, the package includes both a 5″ round and a 10″ x 6″ elliptical Double-D coil, and the detector runs on a removable lithium-ion pack or eight AA batteries — all on a lightweight 1.33 kg frame backed by a 2-year manufacturer warranty.
