Overview

The Minelab GPX 6000 is a high-performance pulse-induction gold detector built around GeoSense-PI, an advanced automatic system that reads ground and target signals in real time to cut ground noise and deliver sharp responses on fine and deep gold. With automatic ground balance, automatic noise cancel and a turn-on-and-go interface, it lets prospectors focus on the goldfield instead of the settings — ideal for newcomers and experts alike in highly mineralised, variable ground. Weighing just 2.1 kg on a carbon-fibre shaft, it ships with two Monoloop coils — the GPX 11″ for fine gold and the GPX 17″ for depth and coverage — both submersible to 1 m, with a rain-proof control box. ML 100 Bluetooth wireless headphones and a built-in speaker are included, it runs up to 8 hours on two quick-release Li-ion batteries, and it carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Is the GPX 6000 waterproof?
The search coils are submersible to 1 m and the control box is rain- and splash-proof, but the detector is not designed for full submersion.
Which coils come with the GPX 6000, and can I use others?
It ships with the GPX 11″ Monoloop and GPX 17″ Elliptical Monoloop coils and also accepts the 14″ Double-D and other GPX 6000 coils.
What is the battery life and warranty?
Up to about 8 hours per charge on the quick-release Li-ion battery (two are included), backed by a 3-year manufacturer warranty.
