The Minelab GPZ 8000 is Minelab's newest professional gold detector, engineered for serious prospectors hunting natural gold in the toughest terrain — highly mineralised, conductive, rocky, desert and volcanic ground. Powered by new GeoZVT technology, it builds on the proven depth of ZVT with advanced signal control that increases depth and stability while cutting ground noise and electromagnetic interference (EMI). It ships as a Three Coil Pack of Z-Set concentric Toroidal coils: the Z18 for maximum depth in heavily mineralised soils, the Z17 for stable response to small and medium gold in EMI and conductive ground, and the Z13 for sensitivity in dense vegetation. The Echo Sonic Pro audio system layers rich, multi-dimensional sound with clearer stereo separation for precise target and ground information, complemented by automatic ground balance, a colour LCD and WM 14 wireless audio. A hybrid anti-vibration shaft, GA 10 guide arm, built-in flashlight and the load-bearing PRO-SWING 125 harness keep long sessions comfortable. At about 2.78 kg (6.1 lb) with the standard coil, it runs on two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for all-day operation and carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty.
