River F Plus
Three water systems, touchscreen or keypad — GER Detect's long-range groundwater locator.
GER Detect River F Plus is a German-made long-range groundwater locator with three water search systems — fresh, natural and salty — driven from either a full-colour touchscreen or a physical keypad, with an automatic depth readout.
Overview
The River F Plus is GER Detect's long-range locator for underground water. It works from a fixed position through a directional long-range sensor rather than a swept coil: the operator picks a water programme — fresh water, natural water or salty water — sets the soil type from natural, clay, rocky, sandy, mixed or mineral, selects the continent, then chooses how much ground in front of the unit the search should cover. GER Detect specifies six selectable front ranges of 500, 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, 2,500 and 3,000 square metres, and states a search depth of up to 1,200 metres underground. When the system settles on a target the unit gives its direction and an automatic depth readout in metres and centimetres, narrowing the point of interest to roughly one square metre. A digital compass, adjustable sound and screen brightness and an on-board settings menu complete the interface. What separates the Plus from the original River F is dual control: everything can be driven either from the full-colour 98 × 57 mm, 480 × 270 px touchscreen or from the physical keypad, which is the practical choice in gloves, glare or dust. The unit itself is compact — 170 mm long, 310 mm with the long-range sensor fitted, about 500 g in the hand — and travels in a protective safety case alongside the transmitter/receiver antenna, signal recipient, signal enhancer and unit holder, bringing the complete kit to roughly 4.95 kg. Power comes from an external rechargeable Li-ion pack of 10.8 V DC / 27 Wh that GER Detect rates at about ten hours, with a mains charger and a 12 V car charger both supplied. The menus run in six languages (German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Arabic), the device carries CE and ISO 9001 certification, and it ships with a two-year manufacturer warranty. It is aimed at well-drilling contractors, farm and land owners and survey teams who need to narrow down where to drill before a rig is committed.
